Blue, Green, Orange

Some of you may have noticed that I changed my blog name. I changed it because a friend thought that Topic of the Week was too serious, and sounded like a business-ish blog. So, that friend helped me come up with Blue, Green, Orange.

I always thought that Sundays were the boringest day of the week. Then I thought that they were the funnest. Now, back to boring. Everything moves so slowly here on Sundays. It's like the world stops, and rotates really slow on Sundays.

Since I don't have any thing to write about today, I'll write about yesterday. First, we went to Foothills Park, and walked around to see what facilities they have because we're hosting a party next Sunday. Thay had a lot of cool stuff like a huge pine cone, a Great Gray Owl, and a Horned Owl. It had a weird smell in there. Probably because they always close the doors. Or maybe it just smells like that.

Lake Boronda

After that we went to Robert's Market in Portola Valley. I got some Lays Limon Chips for 99 cents, two pieces of baked Garlic Bread, and another piece not cooked. They don't have tax up there!!!! I wonder why.............

For horse-back riding lessons, I was riding Ty. Her trot was really bouncy; I could hardly sit during the sitting trot! Cantering didn't go so well either. I was too tired to really concentrate, so I nearly fell off. Hopefully one day I'll be able to canter on the rail. From what I heard, Cantering isn't that hard once you can sit in the saddle.

I saw a little girl trotting, and I thought, that was once me, I used to think trotting was so hard, and now trotting is probably the easiest thing I know. But that doesn't mean I'm experienced, Just that I think trotting is easy.

Soon that will be me.........

A Funny Story ( In my opinion )

Today while I was at a stationary store, I heard this girl ask the person at the counter if they had any sorry cards because she forgot her piano book, and she was afraid her teacher was going to get mad at her.

And of course, we once again practiced the " Who Really Discovered America " game show. The seven candidates are Hoei Shin, Brendan the Bold, Bjarni Herjolfsson, Leif Ericsson, Prince Madoc of Wales, Christopher Columbus, and Chief Howling Wind. It is quite a long game show.

I felt kind of bored so I wrote a setting:

A babbling stream winds through a maze of emerald trees. Lavender and sapphire wildflowers dapple the clearing where the brook trickles to an end between two ash-colored boulders. A single blue jay darts out from under the cover of the saplings, and utters a solitary cry before returning to her hidden nest. A ferret peeks out of her secret burrow, scanning her surroundings. The wind sweeps through the peaceful glade, while a squirrel leaps on to a branch, collecting nuts for Winter. Mother Nature is preparing herself for the coldest season of all.

So the picture doesn't really match, but I like it.

I am currently reading Uglies By Scott Westerfeld. The main character is a girl called Tally. It's set in the future. When people turn sixteen, the get a operation to turn them pretty. Tally has a friend named Peris that's three months older than her, and she really wants to join him in New Pretty Town ( That's where they live when they turn pretty; the uglies live in Uglyville. ) On the way back from New Pretty Town, she meets a girl called Shay. Then they become best friends and I can't remember the rest.

Uglies (Uglies Trilogy, Book 1)
Hopefully, I'll get to go to the library to get Pretties soon.

School ( and other various topics )

After dragging myself up at 7:00 in the morning to get to school, i think i might be able to actually get used to it even though I swore I never would. But then, I 'm not known for remembering oaths.

Today is, unfortunately, Wednesday, which means that unfortunately, I have to go to YMCA for swimming.

At school we rehearsed " Who Really Discovered America" . I am trying to memorize my lines as an interviewer, for no apparent reason. Maybe I just like memorizing things.

For Music, me and some other people that made the audition went around to two different general music classes to play Brahms Finale from the First Symphony (4 violins, 1 viola, and 1 cello). We also got or progress reports today. I got excellent for most things.

Lunch was Beef Enchiladas - so good!!!!! Had to eat really fast because Toy Story 2 was starting ( on rainy days we get to watch a movie. Today wasn't raining, but we got to finish it.) Even though I have already watched it , I still felt a kind of a lure to watch it again.

Although my horse-back riding lesson is on Saturday, everyday when I wake up my mind thinks that today is the day for a one hour horse-back riding session. I'm not very experienced; the only tome I've cantered is on a lunge-line, but I really enjoy it.

And now here I am, writing a post.

Excerpts from a cats' diary

Day 983 of my captivity.

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects.

They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.

The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.

Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a 'good little hunter' I am. Bastards.

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of 'allergies.' I must learn what this means and how to use it to my advantage..

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow -- but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released - and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded.

The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicating with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now.........
