Racism

A black man walks into a cafe
one early morning and noticed
that he was the only black man there.
As he sat down, he noticed a white
man behind him.
The white man said,
"Colored people are not allowed here."
The black man turned around and stood up.
He then said:
When I was born I was black,"
When I grew up I was black,"
When I'm sick I'm black,"
When I go out in the sun I'm black,"
When I'm cold I'm black,"
When I die I'll be black."

But you sir..."
When you were born you were pink,"
When you grew up you were white,"
When you're sick, you're green,"
When you go out in the sun you turn red,"
When you're cold you turn blue,"
And when you die you turn purple."
And you have the nerves to call me colored?!"

The black man then sat back down and
the white man walked away embarrassed...

Question: What Causes Global Warming?

Answer: Scientists have determined that a number of human activities are contributing to global warming by adding excessive amounts of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere. Greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide accummulate in the atmosphere and trap heat that normally would exit into outer space.

Greenhouse Gases and Global Warming
While many greenhouse gases occur naturally and are needed to create the greenhouse effect that keeps the Earth warm enough to support life, human use of fossil fuels is the main source of excess greenhouse gases. By driving cars, using electricity from coal-fired power plants, or heating our homes with oil or natural gas, we release carbon dioxide and other heat-trapping gases into the atmosphere. Deforestation is another significant source of greenhouse gases, because fewer trees means less carbon dioxide conversion to oxygen.

During the 150 years of the industrial age, the atmospheric concentration of carbon dioxide has increased by 31 percent. Over the same period, the level of atmospheric methane has risen by 151 percent, mostly from agricultural activities such as raising cattle and growing rice.

The Consequences of Global Warming
As the concentration of greenhouse gases grows, more heat is trapped in the atmosphere and less escapes back into space. This increase in trapped heat changes the climate and alters weather patterns, which may hasten species extinction, influence the length of seasons, cause coastal flooding, and lead to more frequent and severe storms.

Dogs

Dogs are really entertaining and funny. When my friends' dog, Max, gets excited, he starts talking peoples' shoes and carrying them away. He is a golden retriever. Sometimes he is very calm and sometimes very hyper. Once he ran off and my friend had to get a ball to interest him and get him to come back. Then we were late for a dinner party.

Chocolate is really yummy because you can feel it melting on your tongue and you can taste the creamyness of it.

Christmas

Christmas was always my favorite holiday. I liked waking up in the morning and dashing to the tree. Hearing all those Xmas songs excited me too. My favorite is Felisdavina or something like that.Oh, and winter break and snow. Too bad where I live doesn't snow:(. Here are some ideas you might want to give people:

Mom: Tea, Candleholder, Journal,
Dad: Something handmade, Tie, Shirt with " Best Dad "
Sister: Cell phone/iPod cover
